I am proud to be participating inThe Celebrity Football Charity Challenge, a “pro-am” style fundraising match at Hensley Athletic Field, Eastgardens, to be played at 5.30pm ahead of the Eastern Suburbs’ men’s senior first division Grand Final. A slew of stars will join forces to kick a goal in the fight against epilepsy.
Supported by both Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA) and Sydney FC, the match will combine celebrity players with sponsored amateurs – all raising funds for the cause.
Please donate now for this fantastic cause!
The towering centre forward, Arambašić, began his professional career in the National Soccer League with Blacktown City Demons in 1989. 44 appearances, and 14 goals later, the Croatian-born striker signed for Belgian side Mechelen.
After only 3 league appearances in 2 years, Arambašić found himself back in the NSL, this time with Sydney Olympic. An impressive stint saw him return to Europe with Mechelen, where in the space of 6 years, he’d have spells at FC Metz, Oostende, NAC Breda, Charleroi, and RBC Roosendaal, before returning for a third spell with Mechelen.
Arambašić returned to Australia with Sydney Olympic in 1999, where he spent one season before signing with Sydney United. After 6 goals in 22 league appearances, the striker signed with Parramatta Power, before ending his career at APIA Leichardt Tigers in 2003.
